Couple charged after allegedly feeding dog LSD
SNELLVILLE, GA (CBS ATLANTA) –
Nicholas Modrich and his
girlfriend Jaime Hughes are facing charges of public indecency,
violation of drug related objects, and less than an ounce of marijuana,
according to Snellville police.
Thomas said Modrich and Hughes told officers they had taken LSD and had given some to their dog Oscar, who was missing.
Police were called to the 2100 block of
Pinehurst Road around 8 p.m. after someone reported seeing the couple
running down the road.
According to Captain Harold Thomas, officers knocked on the door of a house and Modrich answered the door naked.
Officers began to search for Oscar, but learned he had been hit by a car on a nearby road.
Gwinnett Animal Control took Oscar who had to be put down, according to police.
Police searched the house and found a bong, marijuana, and Gummi Worms which were allegedly used to take the LSD.
However, no LSD was found in the home.
Police are awaiting the results of a drug test to determine if Oscar was given LSD.
Modrich was also charged with simple battery.
