The Stranger is a free weekly publication out of Seattle. New issues came out every Wednesday. Needless to say, on Tuesday Sept 11th, they had to re-do the entire issue in one day to stay on their Wednesday release schedule. This was the cover they came up with. Of all the 9/11 images I saw that day, and since, this one is still the most powerful to me. This is the image that stopped me in my tracks when I saw it at work the day after 9/11. This is the image that hit me and made me really realize what the fuck just happened.
