  1. No it’s a 600 dollar Gateway that runs a shitty Windows 7 OS, faggot. I’m not offended, i was just pointing out how you seem to whine alot about hipsters. Did hipsters bang your sister or something?

  2. Lol, if you’re having issues with Windows 7, obviously it’s a USER issue…
I’m sure the only reason the hipster thing is there is because that guy has no business buying an ipad…he’s probably going to just use it for facebook and shit anyway. Buying 2 just means he’s more of an idiot than thought possible.
Are you one of the new people that show up every week trying to act like you’re a boss on a public forum ON THE INTERNET. I immediately hate your for how stupid you seem to be. Bye.

  3. if you were not offended, you would scroll past and continue with your life.

and also, if I saw a post throwing shit on pc’s, I would scroll past, even if I like pc’s.
I would not cry and whine like a little bitch.

  4. Using an Apple doesn’t make someone a hipster.  My biggest problem with Apple is that they continue to charge the same outrageous premium even though they’ve outsourced so much construction to Foxconn it’s criminal (sort of like Foxconn’s workplace policy that drives employees to suicide).  But their systems are great in that they are “closed” which allows for certain stabilities that are much harder with other operating systems.  But I’m a tinkerer so they are not for me, and multitouch is for people with shorter fingers I am convinced.

No, hipsters sucking has more to do with the culture of fake individuality and the building of a sense of unwarranted superiority around such things.  That’s when they become execrable.  I have friends who have a serious passion for indie culture (I live just east of Portland, for God’s sake) who could fit the model of ideal hipsters, but they really aren’t.  That’s because they don’t use their obscure predilections as a measure of relative personal worth or to excuse bad life choices.  They have homes, careers, and families.

  5. Both companies and their heads have worked together to create brilliant and innovative technology so why not just accept there are different preferences and move on.

    Stop behaving like children.
  6. I know, right.  Like, I have a better guitar/taste in films/record collection than all these fags but do you see me here reiterating it weekly?  Jesus H.

    I’m also cuter.

p.s.  how was the sex, cooter?

  7. Ah go easy Skeez…there’s lots to be cynical about, regarding Apple. It’s no big deal.

It’s also easier to make fun of Apple because they’re a bigger target. Who’s their competition? What IS a PC? I have an Asus Motherboard in a Raidmax case with Corsair RAM, a Radeon video card, a Creative Labs sound card, and Windows 7 OS.

Apple products work brilliantly with other Apple products. That’s how they were designed, and software/hardware manufacturers have to jump through all kinds of hoops to get Apple’s approval (ESPECIALLY with their mobile devices). And doesn’t being the most profitable company mean they charge more in relation to what it costs to make their products?

    Oh look, now I’M trolling!

  8. call me a “fanboy” all you want my macbook runs just as fast as ever 3+ years on. never had a virus, the operating system never crashes, i could go on.

  9. I’ll chime in on this because I can’t help myself.

I work as a Corporate IT Consultant, specializing in Mac clients typically working within a large Enterprise infrastructure filled with PC admins that don’t want to bothered with learning about Macs. (Although I’m still more certified in MS products at this point.)

I get frequently get asked “Which is better?” Answer: Whichever you prefer.

As for cost, that’s simply not much of an argument anymore. A $400 Dell laptop doesn’t even compare to a $1300 MacBook Air running from a solid state drive. It just doesn’t even compare in terms of productivity, speed, stability and usability after three years. And 3 years ago I predicted that Execs would come around and start using Mac laptops for their day to day work and my good sirs, that day came about a year ago when I was putting said laptops on the desks of execs running 100B$ companies. Apple’s branding has prevailed and 10.7 (Lion) will edify the platform like never before. (Sadly it leaves legacy users like me disappointed, but a reworked Samba/CIFS stack and proper kerberos integration was long overdue.)

Sorry, I’ll go back to lurking now. And yes, this is the easiest way to troll me.

  10. I grew up using both platforms…until like OS 7.65 or something. More games on PC + more fulfilling hardware and software tweaking won the day/life for me!

  11. PC and Mac guts are pretty much the same since Apple started using Intel processors. You can install a Mac OS on a PC computer. Differences are basically in the OS. A Tiger OS on a Mac I used to work on crashed ProTools twice during half a year, destroying about 1 hour of work on a project each crash. Windows 7 has never crashed on me, not one time, even when I was using the RTM build. So I’m using a PC with Windows now, simple as that. And it’s damn fast. I think Apple is making more money on the gadgets, iPads, iPHones, those iThings, rather than on workstations now. Unless someone just needs Logic Studio, then again, you could even install both systems on a PC and have the Mac OS load and run it. Whatever, who gives a shit. I’m not gonna be hating on anyone, in fact I’d like That iPhone gadget just for this:

  12. never a fan of mac, i like to do whatever i want with my pc and not be limited by constraints mac has.

few reasons i dislike mac, – its designed for simpletons – their prices for hardware rip you off – comparability for software is low .. no room for expanding/upgrading system ie graphics card / HDDs.

The only thing apple made worth purchasing is the iPod.
