Busting up some clay piles in the yard. The white stuff in the crevices is chalk/clay matrix that I found it in.
Seems heavy for its size.

It’s also a ‘one of’ from the piles of red clay. Many other big rocks, but all mostly chert and cool football-sized chunks of white chalk.
I never dreamed that piles of red clay could be so interesting..

the rock…ummmm could probably be a turgite are you anywhere near Covington?
if thats the case, you have sucessfully found the ugliest mineral in existance, I mean sometimes it’s iridescent, but iridescence on turgite is like putting a fat girl in that crappy one size fits most lingerie they wear.
