The escalator pic reminds me of that one at Grand Central that goes to/from the 7 where the escalators are super steep but the tiles are laid out perpendicular to the floor instead of the escalator itself, making for some super intense vertigo. I had to close my eyes on it every. single. time. to keep from falling down and/or puking everywhere.

    These shots really make me miss the city, though.
