  1. Don’t understand why a complete reboot is necessary, it appears that they are going back to when PP was bitten.  Why can’t they just pick up the series where it left off?  Looks interesting, I guess.  Not sure if I’ll bother going to see this one.  Are they rebooting Superman, again, as well?

  2. Worst superhero ever.  all he does is whine like a bitch and get his ass kicked, until Civil War and then Tony Stark uses him as a bitch for that too.

“Ooooh….great responsibility! Uncle BEEEEEEN!!!!! No, I’ll just hurt the ones I lurve!”

The only thing worse than spiderman is superman not using his lazer eyes to just win at everything.

One of the reasons all DC and Marvel, save a couple extreme awesomeness bits, suck ass like a faggot on Folsom Street making gas money to get home.

  3. Corporations have realized that the reboots are what makes the moneh and are now capitalizing.
    Woe woe woe.
You can bet on superman, batman, and god fuckin knows what other “new” “beginnings” movies.

    Fucking corporations ruined everything.

  4. First off they fucked up the story lines so bad in those toby movies I think anything would be better when it comes to that. They did some  good shit I’ll give you that but I really do hope this new one actually FOLLOWS THE FUCKING COMIC!!!! These comic movies they make that don’t follow along any viable story line is just bullshit and does nothing to make sense of what they wrote. How Marvel could allow any movie to alter the god damn gospel that these comics are is unforgiveable. But what do I know I’m just a lowly customer in the giant prostitution scheme that is the vagina of the movie industry.

  5. Looks interesting. I like Andrew Garfield as an actor, but I’m not sure how he will do as an action star. Red Riding 1979 is fantastic because of him (and Sean Bean), but I’m not so sure it’ll cross over.

  6. My question, why do they only choose the worst shit to make movies out of?  Where the fuck is the “Sandman” movie, or “Preacher”?  I can’t wait till they make Kick Ass 2 and we get to see a German Shepard head attached to the neck of a guy.

Where the fuck is my “CROSSED” movie?

  7. I was about to go look for the SG’er who bitched about the spinelessness of Hollywood production (in reference to Hanna) and refer you to that post. But fuck, I’m pretty sure that’s you.

  8. The 15 year-olds are the target market, they’re the ones who will spend the most on this. They were 6 when the last series started, they want to see it from the beginning themselves a series for their generation. Spiderman is the most profitable superhero brand.

  9. There’s been a lot of talks about Preacher.  At one point, HBO (I believe) was interested in a long arc series.  Whatever happens, I want a whiny, racist, southern, millionaire fucking a giant meat-woman on screen, or it’s shit. 😛

  10. kick ass 2 may not be made. That’s the latest I heard at least.

Sandman would make an awesome movie.
I am waiting for the black hole movie and an Akira movie based on the comics and not set in new york.
  11. yeah but spawn didn’t have a character who’s almost only defining characteristic is he liked to kill animals then rape them, or did he rape then kill them? I can’t remember.

  12. Don’t you get it bro? It’s so edgy and cool. Only edgy and cool comics should be made into movies because that’s what everyone wants to see. No one cares about inspiring superheroes whose stories are timeless. That’s for gay kids and women.

  13. I understand your point Hate, but I think “edgy” over the top comics deserve they’re fair shake, Preacher was a good comic, so was the Punisher, (The sequel to which did justice to the violent nature of the comics in my opinion) and so is Captain America, Spider-man etc. The main problem is that you can’t make every comic into a movie just like you can’t make every book into a movie, some things just don’t translate well on screen, and in this economy you can’t expect any major studio to take the risks Preacher or Sandman would require to do the comic books justice. Some people just don’t like the Superhero genre, and that’s fair, I don’t particularly care for romance novels, so far be it from me to judge those who do.

  14. It’s just repetitive and overdone drivel, and very lowest common denominator.  We need to stop wasting money, time and effort on lowest common denominator stuff and actually encourage something outside the box.  Peter Parker is a whiny bitch crying about his uncle and how he might hurt the people he loves.  Whoop-di-fucking-do.  Superman lost his whole planet, comes here, has SUPER FUCKING POWERS and is basically one step under God, and he doesn’t really fix anything.  Laser eyes, yet he never uses them.

Iron Man is ok, because at least Tony Stark has some real world problems.  He’s a drunk and he likes to fuck a lot of whorecunt.  He’s at least believable as a character, because 99% of the population, if given super smarts, a banging body, unlimited wealth….they’d be doing the same thing.

I’m bored with the “Superhero” story.  I like the ones that delve a bit further, get into the minds.  Tap into the idea that was touched on with Civil War with the heroes who don’t get out perfect.  They don’t have health care or a retirement plan, so in Absolution when they go later and show these broken, fucked-in-the-head “retired” superheroes, that’s interesting.

I get the draw to Superhero stories, I just wish the ones that didn’t only show the glossy parts got made into real movies (or shows).  Even Walking Dead is kind of pussing out on what was in the comic.   Case in point, there is a pilot circling right now for a series done from “Locke and Key”.  My library happened to have the first 3 volumes, so I picked em up.  Awesome comic, original story, great idea….except, from the pilot it seems like it’ll be based on the concept of the comic without all the awesome that makes the comic what it is.  That’s pretty sad.

  15. A black hole remake could be awesome.  I loved that movie as a kid, but done a bit darker, with more of an Event Horizon element to it…..deal with a truly nuts doctor bent on his life’s dream with an army of killer robots.
