Long live El Gato Noche de rápida y silenciosa muerte,,,,,

Our awesome but free spirited Gray Cat is gone,,,,she was never quite domesticated and insisted on going outside even when it was quite cold and we can’t find her. We looked everywhere, we hit up the neighbors, we checked the pound and there is no trace. She would not stay indoors willingly and we hope some person ended up with her and is trying to keep her inside but if this is true she must not be close to us because if she were I’m sure she would have found her way back. This all happened about 2 months ago. We finally couldn’t stand looking at her half filled food dish anymore and went and adopted these two, meet Knox (The Tabby) and Lucy. They’re not kittens but not adults yet either and seem quite content with domesticity. Knox is quite nervous and twitchy and hid for about a week, Lucy was walking around like she owned the joint within hours. They both think they’re hungry all the time, show very little interest in going outside and have not even blinked at having collars (We tried to put one on the Gray Cat at least 3 times and she chewed all of them off, we toyed with the idea of a metal one but figured she would just hurt herself trying to get it off) I had not realized how used I have become to having cats in my house, when there were none it really felt like something in my life was missing.
